Home > > SAFETY FIRST – ISO 45001 & SMSTS
Every morning, our site teams gather for a briefing to align on the day’s plan, ensure smooth coordination, and most importantly, reinforce health & safety measures. These meetings are vital in keeping everyone up to date and maintaining a well-organized, safe working environment.
At GA Interiors Ltd, we take safety seriously. We are proud to be ISO 45001 certified, the international standard for occupational health and safety.
Our Site Managers also hold SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificates, equipping them with the knowledge to manage safety on construction sites effectively. This ensures that our projects not only meet industry regulations but also provide the safest possible working conditions.
We are always happy to advise other businesses on keeping safety first and recommend the essential certifications for construction professionals to maintain the highest industry standards.
Home > > On-site at Mountbatten Leisure Centre, Portsmouth
GA Interiors Ltd is currently working with Etec Group at Mountbatten Leisure Centre, installing drywall masonry lining systems and ceilings, including bulkhead ceilings in key areas like the nursery, café, corridors, and function rooms.
Portsmouth City Council has invested £6.6M into upgrading the centre, including a new roof, essential repairs, and maintenance. The project is being carried out in phases, with some areas closed for works, while others, including the gym, swimming pools, and café, remain open.
Refurbishment projects like this require a high level of coordination and expertise, and our team is delivering solutions that meet the needs of both the contractor and the community. If you’re working on a similar project and need an interiors partner—let’s connect.
Home > > Colliers Wood Development Takes Shape with GA Interiors Ltd
GA Interiors Ltd is in full swing, starting works at the Colliers Wood site in partnership with The Hill Group. This ambitious project will bring two modern buildings, rising 10 and 13 storeys, to a prime location near the River Wandle and Morden Hall Park.
The development will feature a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. Each home will include private balconies, modern fitted kitchens equipped with energy-efficient appliances, and a range of thoughtful amenities.
We started making a significant progress, with the installation of Hadley SFS metal frames. This will be followed by the application of Obex external sheeting boards, ensuring a robust external structure.
Next up are the Obex EPDM and breather membranes, critical for delivering high standards of energy efficiency and environmental performance.
GA Interiors Embarks on Travelodge Stratford Project
GA Interiors is proud to announce that we have commenced work on the exciting Travelodge Stratford project for the main contractor, Barnes Construction. This marks the transformation of Gredley House, a vacant office building at 1-11 Broadway, into a state-of-the-art 151-room Travelodge, strategically located near Stratford Station with excellent National Rail, Underground, and DLR connections.
Initial Phase: Beam Encasements Installation
Our team has started installing beam encasements on the ceilings as part of the initial phase of the project. Once this is complete, we will move on to delivering the full drylining package and ceilings for all 151 rooms, ensuring high-quality finishes throughout the development.
A Sustainable and Modern Design
This project highlights Travelodge’s commitment to sustainability and modern design, as the new hotel will be built to a BREEAM Excellent standard. Guests can look forward to enjoying the brand’s new premium design and bar café, providing a relaxing and contemporary space to eat and drink.
Barnes and GA Interiors: A Strong Partnership
Travelodge Stratford marks the latest milestone in the ongoing partnership between Barnes Construction and GA Interiors. This collaboration has seen the successful delivery of high-profile projects, including St. Catherine’s Hospice, which demonstrated our shared commitment to quality and precision. With the start of the Travelodge Stratford hotel, we continue to build on this strong foundation, contributing to Barnes Construction’s legacy of delivering exceptional hospitality projects.
Home > > Construction Moves Forward at Rochester Riverside
The planning application for Phase 7 of Rochester Riverside, part of the £419m regeneration scheme in partnership with Countryside, has been approved by Medway Council. This next phase will bring 154 new homes to the area, contributing to the wider vision of up to 1,400 properties at Rochester Riverside.
Countryside Homes has completed the latest phase of construction, and Phase 7 is scheduled to launch in 2025. The new homes will include a variety of one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as two-, three-, and four-bedroom houses, with the first homes ready to be released for sale soon.
At GA Interiors, we’re pleased to be playing our part in this large-scale project. Our team ensures the site runs smoothly and efficiently, and we’re making good progress. The show home is nearly finished, and the flats are coming along quickly—screeding and first-fix work are almost complete, clearing the way for other trades to continue their work.
We’re looking forward to seeing the next phase of this development unfold and contributing to its continued success.
