Project Overview
GA Interiors Ltd delivered internal fit-out, Steel Framing Systems (SFS), and fire stopping for Phase Two of Ashmere, the flagship residential neighbourhood at Ebbsfleet Garden City in Kent. Phase Two adds 235 new homes to the scheme, following on from 281 homes already completed in Phase One, as part of an eventual 2,600 mixed-tenure homes planned across the wider garden city.
Working plot by plot across the reinforced concrete frame, GA Interiors’ teams installed steel framing systems to the upper floors before completing internal partition and party walls at ground level. Each unit progressed from frame to a fully fitted-out, fire-stopped interior ready for handover to the main contractor, in line with the development’s phased build programme.
Residential Features
Ashmere offers a mix of houses and apartments for private sale, shared ownership, and affordable rent, with 25% of Phase Two designated as affordable housing. The development sits within easy reach of Ebbsfleet International station, with High Speed rail connections to London St Pancras in around 17 minutes, and benefits from a growing village centre, green spaces, play areas, and a Fastrack bus route linking residents to Bluewater Shopping Centre.
Awards & Recognition
Ashmere was recognised with two Housing Design Awards in September 2025: the Building for a Healthy Life (BFHL) Award, selected by Homes England as the best example of a scheme built to BFHL principles, and the Future Homes Hub Award, recognising its approach to net zero, community-focused living. Judges praised the development’s high-quality streets and spaces, pedestrian-friendly layout, biodiverse landscaping, and design inspired by Kent’s chalk cliffs, farmland heritage, and villages.
GA Interiors’ own work on the scheme has been recognised too: the company was shortlisted in the Drylining – Residential category at the FIS Awards 2025 for its work at Eastern Quarry, Ebbsfleet, delivered in close collaboration with main contractor Vistry Group. GA Interiors is also an accredited member of the Finishes and Interiors Sector (FIS), the industry’s leading representative body for the £10 billion UK fit-out, finishes, and interiors sector, having been assessed against the FIS PPP (Product, Process, People) Quality Framework.
On the FIS shortlisting, GA Interiors said: “A big thank you to our Contracts Manager Tadas Chlostauskas, Site Manager Minvydas Beniusis, and the whole team for their hard work and commitment.”
