Project overview
Riverside Park is a residential development in the heart of Ashford, Kent, with 246 apartments and 26 townhouses set around a new public realm, close to Ashford International station. The homes have fully fitted kitchens, private balconies or terraces, and allocated parking for the majority of units.
GA Interiors worked for main contractor Gravel Rock Construction across more than one phase of the scheme, including Phase 3.
Our scope
GA Interiors delivered a multi-trade package across the apartments and townhouses:
- SFS framing and brick tie channels
- Drylining, insulation, plastering and tape and joint
- Suspended ceilings and MF ceilings
- Floor insulation and sand and cement floor screeding
- EPDM
- Fire stopping
Screeding started on site in March 2020. Floors were tanked with Visqueen and insulated before the screed was pumped into place, compacted, laser-checked for level and finished by power float or hand trowel.
Acorn House, Basildon
An office-to-residential conversion creating 94 apartments at Acorn House in Basildon, Essex, where GA Interiors delivered the SFS, drylining, ceilings and fire stopping package for Davis Construction.

Project overview
Acorn House at 45 Great Oaks, Basildon, has been converted from an office building into 94 one and two bedroom apartments, with a ground floor concierge space. The building was sold to Basildon Council in 2019, and Ocea were retained by the council to develop the building on their behalf.
GA Interiors was appointed by main contractor Davis Construction (South East) Ltd under a sub-contract dated 9 November 2020, with works starting on site that month.
Our scope
GA Interiors delivered the interior package that turned the former office floors into individual homes:
- SFS framing
- Partition walls and wall linings, including party walls, using British Gypsum systems supplemented with metal studwork
- Insulation
- Suspended ceilings and MF ceilings
- Plastering and tape and joint finishes
- Fire stopping
Work at height was carried out from mobile towers and podium steps erected and inspected by PASMA-trained operatives, and each floor was signed off against GA Interiors quality control sheets covering party walls, partitions and wall linings.
Outcome
Davis Construction certified practical completion of the GA Interiors sub-contract works on 24 September 2021.
Seven Sisters Road, London
A new five-storey block of 25 mixed tenure homes at the junction of Seven Sisters Road and Portland Rise, where GA Interiors delivered the SFS, drylining and ceilings package for Elemento.

Project overview
This redevelopment at 392-394 Seven Sisters Road, on the corner of Portland Rise in north London, replaced the existing structure with a new five-storey residential building with a basement. The scheme provides 25 mixed tenure homes: five one-bedroom, eleven two-bedroom and nine three-bedroom flats.
Main contractor Elemento Construction was appointed under a JCT 2016 Design and Build contract to demolish the existing building and construct the new block. GA Interiors Ltd was appointed as drylining sub-contractor, supplying all labour, plant and materials for the package.
Our scope
GA Interiors delivered the internal drylining package across the building:
- Steel framing system (SFS)
- Metal stud partition systems
- Wall linings
- Suspended plasterboard ceiling systems
- Tape and joint finish throughout
Works started on site on 23 December 2020 against a 22-week programme, which included a four-week allowance for Covid-19 working restrictions.
Albion Riverside, Battersea
A refurbishment of Unit A1 in the Albion Riverside Building on Hester Road, Battersea, where GA Interiors delivered SFS, drylining, ceilings, finishes and fire stopping for Alexander Maltby.

Project overview
Albion Riverside is a mixed-use development on the south bank of the Thames between Battersea and Albert bridges, alongside the Foster studio. It was designed to support a growing riverside community, with space to live, work and socialise in one lively urban quarter.
GA Interiors Ltd carried out the refurbishment of Unit A1 within the Albion Riverside Building for main contractor Alexander Maltby, starting on site in October 2018.
Our scope
GA Interiors delivered the interior package for the unit:
- SFS and metal stud partitions using British Gypsum systems
- Wall linings with insulation
- Plastering and tape and joint finishes
- MF and suspended ceilings
- Fire stopping
- Render and decorating
Challenges and solutions
- Shared loading bay: deliveries could not be left in the building’s loading bay, so materials were scheduled to suit the programme and moved straight to storage areas agreed with Alexander Maltby.
- Working at height: partitions and ceilings were installed from PASMA-inspected mobile towers and podium steps, with work areas kept as exclusion zones for third parties.

Project overview
The scheme at 92 Putney Bridge Road provides residential properties close to Wandsworth Park and a short walk from the River Thames, with several local parks and commons nearby.
GA Interiors was appointed by main contractor Rascons Constructions for the internal framing, drylining and ceilings, with our method statement for the works issued in August 2020.
Our scope
GA Interiors delivered the following:
- Steel framing systems (SFS)
- Metal stud partition systems
- Wall linings, including dot and dab linings
- Fire breaks
- Suspended ceiling systems
- Tape and joint finish throughout
Drylining used mainly proprietary British Gypsum systems, supplemented with metal studwork where needed, with insulation fitted to the design before closing up partitions and linings.
Challenges and solutions
- Deliveries and storage: materials could not be left in the loading bay, so plasterboard and metal sections were scheduled to suit the programme and moved straight to storage areas agreed with Rascons.
- Pre-cut materials: metal sections were ordered cut to size where possible to reduce cutting, noise and waste on site.
43-51 Wandsworth High Street, London

Walls were built using proprietary British Gypsum systems, with metal sections delivered pre-cut to size where possible and insulation installed before the second board layer.

The Norton Road site forms part of Wokingham Borough Council’s Local Development Scheme, part of the council’s Growth Strategy to shape the future of the borough and create places where people want to live, work and do business.
The development provides 13 new homes. GA Interiors worked for main contractor LIFE Build, starting on site in autumn 2018.

Outcome

Devons Road is a residential project on the Devons Estate in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, delivering 15 flats and four-storey houses for Poplar HARCA.
GA Interiors Ltd worked for main contractor J. Murphy & Sons Limited, providing the SFS, drylining and ceiling packages. The SFS works are covered by a collateral warranty to Poplar HARCA dated September 2020, and the drylining and ceiling works followed from late 2020.
Our scope
GA Interiors delivered the full drylining package for the scheme:
- SFS
- Metal stud partitions and wall linings, mainly using British Gypsum systems
- Insulation to party walls, partitions and external wall linings
- MF ceilings and suspended ceilings
- Tape and joint and plastering
- Fire stopping and render
Metal sections were delivered pre-cut to size where possible, keeping cutting on site to a minimum, and materials were called off on a scheduled basis to suit the programme.
Outcome
The package was completed for J. Murphy & Sons and the project retention has since been released.
